Sam's commonplace book

Welcome to my webpage*:・゚✧

Welcome to my little website! Feel free to look around and let me know what to fix, I'm still a beginner in coding! I'm working on the other pages, so stay tuned!

Weekly quote: The 3rd world

Look and load your gun wehere I'm form
    the Third World, son
Been to many places, but I'm Third world born
Guerrillas hit and run where I'm from, the Third World's gone
The water is poison where I'm form, the Third world, son
700 children died by the end of this song
Revulotion'll come where I'm form, the
    Third world, son
    Constant occupation leaves the Third
    World torn

I'm very happy to receive the trifted books I have order yesterday. I'm looking forward to reading The Child thief by Brom and Carlos Ruiz Zafón's book "The Shawod of the Wind." I would love to write reviews as I tent to forgot to review the books I have read! Currenty I'm thinkin of ditching Goodreads forever? because I love keeping up with my own bookshelf

Today I went to a local manga-store in the city, I can't collect my favorite manga right now (D. Gray-Man by Katsura Hoshino). Lucky me I can start my weird but rewarding collection of lexicons....after visiting the local bookstore (while skipping the book-tok cringe) I was pleased to meet the second hand books, used and some with signatures! I'm now a proud owner of The Oxford Dictionary of Literary Terms and The penguin guide to synonyms and related words 2nd editoin by S.I Hayakawa

I didn't expect to start the new year by buying 2 second-hand books, my collection never ends...but since I love fairytales I couldn't resist not buying this dusty old school fairytale book written by the gebroeders Grimm (Brothers Grimm). The other book is called De Grijze jager part 1 (Ranger's Apprentice) by John Flanagan

So I started on another zine even though my other zine isn't finished, I could'nt resist haha. So this zine idea kept me awake in the middle of the night. It's called "Endangerd" and let's say it is about all the people who are going through difficult times and are having a hard time. I think it is going to be political kinda statement about wars and human lifes. I will write a short poem about it too!

Uhm, I went to a bookstore in the city and was reading a book called "Onder de paramariboom" written bij Johan Frets, I have written a review, but hey I ended up having nothing to read on my way back home. It was a 2 hours ride in the train, I could'nt resist to buy books. Hopefully this month will be the last....not sure thought. The books I got are notes from underground by Fyodor Dostoevsky and The Disappearance of Rituals by Byung-Chul Han I thought I would read on my way back home, but forgot how tired I was and ended up reading a blogpage on my phone

Today I went on a quest to find some new disturbing books to read, lucky me youtube channels don't disappoint and my search engine is getting tired of the specific odd ways I try to describe the specific books I wish to read. So I ended up buying second hand books again, I know it's getting out of hand, but I will put a stop on it this month. The books that rolled in my tbr are (drum roll) perfume the story of a murderer by Patrick Süskind, Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk and last but not least Painted Bird by Jerzy Kosińsk This is going to be a real deal for me, I toke a break from reading, gotta forcus on something else now. So the temptation of reading is hard, but I will take it easy and read them soon!

Today was my lucky day as I convinced myself to plan a solo-trip and give myself a day off. I gotta be honest, solo traveling isn't for me and I get a bit anxious thinkin of it. But today was special, I want to the War museum! I used to go with school when I was a child, but now as a adult it felt like revisiting nostalgia and connecting with my inner child. I love history and visiting ancient or facinating facts about the world. Also the trip was something I could look forward too, I always forget to do something for my self way to often. Now I can start on my zine which inspired me to go to the museum (ツ)

So today was my lucky day, I was going to a trift-store visit, I got too cosy with the triftstore in my city so I want to a nearby town. Like I said lucky me, I found a digi-cam from 2006! The Canon PowerShot A420 is now my current hyperfixation! and probaly my first digi-cam ever! The camera is grayish/silver and looks brand new! and that for just 7,50 euro!. Man I need a break, this is too amazing

I finely wrote a blog about my experience in digital life & my currated list to beat the algorithm, it toke me to long to write it haha. But I enjoyed writing it and hopefully I won't be to chaotic to read, feel free to check it out:D

The commonplace book meaning

Not a dull or trite book, as the usual sense of commonplace' would suggest, but a writer's notebook
in which interesting ideas and quatations are collected for further reflection
and possible future use. In this sense, a commonplace is a remark or written passage that is worth
remembering or quoting.
